On December 13rd, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between SWUFE and KPMG China was held in Room 109, Hong Yuan Building, Liulin Campus. The ceremony was attended by Tracy Yang, Vice Chairman of KPMG China and Senior Partner of Eastern and Western China Region, David Ko, Vice Chairman of KPMG China and Head of Audit, Tan Wei, Senior Partner of Sichuan and Chongqing Region, Wan Shu, Head of Audit of Sichuan and Chongqing Region, and relevant partners of KPMG. And Zhuo Zhi, President of SWUFE, Zeng Daorong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and heads of different departments and schools were present. The ceremony was presided by Zeng Daorong.
At the ceremony, Zhuo Zhi delivered a speech on behalf of the university. He introduced the development and discipline characteristics of SWUFE, and elaborated its strategic considerations and tasks during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, as well as the progress of Double First-Class plan. He pointed out that the strategic agreement marked more regular, standardized, and orderly cooperation between SWUFE and KPMG. He hoped that both sides would work together in the future economic and social development of the new era to contribute to the fields of finance, accounting, and auditing.
Mr. Honson To, Chairman of KPMG China and Asia Pacific, extended his blessing to the ceremony via video. He said that SWUFE, as a nationally renowned university specialized in finance and economics, has cultivated many outstanding graduates over the years, providing a talent pool for the development of various industries; KPMG, as a global leader in professional services, is committed to providing professional services in auditing, tax and consulting. And it always attaches great importance to the cultivation of talents. He pointed out that this agreement has laid a good foundation for both sides to establish a thorough comprehensive strategic cooperation framework.
Tracy Yang in a speech expressed her expectation that both KPMG and SWUFE would take this ceremony as a new starting point, taking the strategic cooperation agreement as a three-year action plan. She hoped that, through the joint efforts of both sides, the transformation of innovative technology achievements in the industry would be promoted and talents needed by the country would be cultivated. And both sides would contribute to China’s industrial upgrading, economic transformation, and construction of a smart society.
In the presence of the participants from both sides, Zeng Daorong and David Ko signed the strategic cooperation agreement.
Following the signing the participants had a discussion. And before the signing ceremony, Zeng Daorong accompanied the guests to visit the university history museum.

In the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, this agreement between KPMG and SWUFE will, starting from the top-level design of talent cultivation and industry synergy development, seize the opportunity of the construction of the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu and Chongqing. SWUFE will keep working with the coordinated education of industry, university, and research, balancing the supply and demand of financial talents, scientific research cooperation, the development of financial technology ecology, and campus recruitment. And the cooperation of constancy and advantages will strongly promote SWUFE’s construction of Double First-Class disciplines and provide students with a broad and solid platform for personal growth.
