题目：Communicating with Conditionals

内容提要：

In direct communication protocol (DCP, Gibbard, 1973; Myerson, 1989), each agent simultaneously and directly reports their information to the central mediator, while in gradual communication protocol (GCP, Chew and Wang, 2022a, b), some agents could gradually report their information and base their reports on information revealed previously by other agents. We propose a Communication Protocol with Conditionals (CPC) to characterize DCP and GCP in a unified framework. In CPC, agents simultaneously send their individual messages---conditional admission rules specifying what an agent admits conditional on what other agents admit. With three basic properties---Compatibility (C), Robustness (R), Undetectability (U), and three additional properties---Minimality (M), Productability (P), and Procedural Sliceability (S), we show: 1) DCP is characterized by CPC with the properties of MP-CRU and corresponds one-to-one to product information partition (IP). 2) GCP is characterized by CPC with the properties of S-CRU. 3) The property of Discreetness in GCP is equivalent to Minimality of CPC satisfying S-CRU which corresponds one-to-one to Sliceable IP.
